Colgate Mighty Mouse 1956
In 1956, Colgate purchased sponsorship rights to CBS-TV's Saturday morning "Mighty Mouse Playhouse." The toothpaste company and Terrytoon Studios produced a number of popular spots featuring the diminutive hero over the show's 11-year run. We want to track the partnerships between corporate sponsors and cartoon shows and weave a narrative of the ways in which product tie-ins boosted cartoon characters, and vice versa!
